Roy Atherton has been appointed senior pastor of ImagineThis LLC in Grand Ledge, Mich. A commissioning service will be held March 28, led by Bishop Phil Whipple.

Roy has been serving as interim pastor of ImagineThis LLC, and before that was the church’s associate pastor. Roy’s wife, Kathy, is a schoolteacher.

The elder team at Elem3nt Church, Blissfield, Michigan, announced yesterday that Gayle Ruble, Jr. will be taking the helm as senior leader after serving as interim Teaching Pastor since September 3, 2009 when Dave Riddle stepped down. Prior to that, Gayle had served at the church as its Adrian, Michigan campus pastor and Group Life Pastor. He and his wife, Leslie, live in Adrian.rublejr_gayle

Stuart and Judy JohnsStuart Johns has been named senior pastor of Idaville UB (Idaville, Pa.) effective November 1. He and his wife, Judy, moved from Marietta, Calif. Stuart is currently an ordained minister with another church. He spent ten years, 1995-2005, as a Child Evangelism Fellowship director. Most recently, he was Director of Development Systems for Every Generation Ministries.

jonamberherron275Jonathan Herron has been named senior pastor of Colwood UB Church (Caro, Mich.) effective September 27, 2009. He takes the place of Phil Whipple, who was elected bishop in June.

On his first Sunday preaching at Colwood, ten persons came to Christ.

Jonathan holds a degree in Theater from Columbia College, and a Masters in Evangelism/Missions from Ashland Theological Seminary (2002). He also studied improv comedy for two years under Tina Fey at the Second City Training Center.

Jonathan’s ministry experience includes being a youth pastor at three churches (including NewSpring Church in Anderson, SC, one of the fastest-growing churches in the country), and speaking at youth conferences since 2002. Chris Moore has been named senior pastor of Mount Zion (Bobo) UB church near Willshire, Ohio. This church is a part-time position.

Chris previously served on staff at Emmanuel UB (Fort Wayne, Ind.) and Good Shepherd UB (Huntington, Ind.). His wife, Brenda, holds a fulltime job in Fort Wayne.

Beulah “Dot” Hasler has been named senior pastor of McGuire Bend UB (Dayton, Iowa) effective July 1, 2009. She is an ordained minister in the United Methodist Church. McGuire Bend continues sharing pastoral leadership with three United Methodist churches in that area. The previous pastor at McGuire Bend, Remigio Panlaqui, was assigned to UMC churches in Fremont and Cedar, Iowa.
