Dr. Jody Bowser (right) has been appointed as senior pastor of King Street UB church in Chambersburg, Pa. King Street is the second-largest United Brethren church, with a weekly attendance of over 1500.

Dr. Bowser has been senior pastor for over 12 years at Moses Lake Alliance Church in Moses Lake, Wash. His ministry experience also includes five years as youth pastor at First Baptist Church in Visalia, Calif., and over ten years as director of Student Ministries and Preaching Associate at The Chapel in Akron, Ohio.

He and his wife, Caryn, have six children, three of whom currently attend Christian colleges in Ohio and Pennsylvania. Their oldest son, Jay, is on staff as a video producer at a church in Charlotte, N. C.

Jody’s doctor of ministry degree, with an emphasis on preaching, is from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, Mass. His doctoral preaching studies were done under Dr. Haddon Robinson.

Jody’s first Sunday in the pulpit at King Street will be November 1, 2015. King Street Church is excited to see where God takes us under Jody’s leadership. The congregation has been without a senior pastor since Dr. John Beukema left in January 2014 to become pastor of a church in Houston, Texas.

Ricky Hull concluded his ministry at Mt. Hermon UB church (Pomeroy, Ohio) on Sunday, March 15. He has been senior pastor there since 2012. Ricky has been named senior pastor of Crossroads UB church in Charlotte, Mich. He replaces Mike Arnold, who retired as senior pastor last fall.

In 2014, Ricky graduated from Winebrenner Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity. He and his wife, Jami, a medical transcriptionist, have four children.

Mark Self has been named senior pastor of Trinity UB church in Fostoria, Ohio. He graduated in 1994 from Kentucky Mountain Bible College with a degree in Pastoral Ministries. Since 1987, he has served as youth pastor, associate pastor, or pastor at five different churches. Most recently, he served 14 years, 2000-2014, as pastor of Christ’s Community Church in Navarre, Ohio. Mark and his wife, Debbie, have three grown children, ages 18-24.

Travis Ambrose (right) has been named lead pastor of New Hope Church in Camden, Mich. He will also continue in a part-time staff status at Hillsdale Church (Hillsdale, Mich.), where he has been Family Life Pastor since June 2011. Prior to that, Travis was associate pastor of Lake View UB church (Camden, Mich.).

David Souers was named senior pastor of New Horizons UB church (Rockford, Ohio) effective February 6, 2014. Since 2008, David had been lead pastor of Westwood Fellowship in Woodburn, Ind. (part of the Fellowship of Evangelical Churches denomination).

David grew up in UB churches in northeast Indiana, in the Huntington and Fort Wayne areas. He graduated in 2012 from Moody Bible Institute with a degree in biblical studies, and is currently working on his MDiv at Wesley Seminary.

David’s wife, Annette, graduated from Moody in 2005 with a degree in sports ministry, and in 2011 received a degree in nursing from Medtech College. She and David have one child.

Jeremiah Ketchum was appointed lead pastor of Brown Corners UB church (Clare, Mich.) effective January 26, 2014.

Jeremiah and his wife, Elisa, were married in 2000 and have four children ages 1-11. From 2003-2008, they served with New Tribes Mission, including a year of ministry in China.

Both Jeremiah and Elisa graduated from New Tribes Bible Institute (Jackson, Mich.) in 2005. Jeremiah went on to earn a Master’s in Religious Studies in 2006 from Southern California Seminary.

Victor Mojica (left) has been named senior pastor of Clearview UB church (Goshen, Ind.), effective January 1, 2014. He takes the place of Hubert Schmucker, who retired after 36 years of service in the United Brethren denomination.

Milt Herrold (right) has been appointed senior pastor of Macedonia UB church (Greencastle, Pa.), following the retirement of Gayle Ruble, Sr. Herrold previously pastored the UB church in Orrstown, Pa., 2004-2011. He then left to take a position in Vermont with Child Evangelism Fellowship.

Mike Mattox has been named senior pastor of New Life UB church (Chanute, Kansas). He holds a two-year diploma in Pastoral Studies from Rhema Bible Training Center. Mike and his wife, Linda, have five children.

Andy Stahl has been named senior pastor of Mount Hope UB church (Carson City, Mich.) effective November 1, 2013. He previously served two years as senior pastor of New Life Church (Chanute, Kansas). He has held a National Conference license since 2011. Andy graduated from Huntington University in 2007 with a degree in Bible and Religion. His wife, Jennifer, graduated from HU in 2006 with a degree in Recreation Management.
