Fulltime Associate Pastor: Lafayette, Ind.

Crestview United Brethren Church (Lafayette, Ind.) is a growing church, poised to move to the next level with the addition of a fulltime associate pastor.

General Requirements

  • Applicants must be creative, self-starting, and filled with Christ.
  • The associate will be expected to preach several times a year, share pastoral care duties, and help with creative development for all areas of ministry.
  • Familiarity with contemporary ministry tools such as website, A/V tech, social networking, etc. is a must.
  • Experience with small groups and church athletics is a plus.

Educational and Experience Requirements

  • Minimum GPA 2.50
  • Must have at least a four-year Bible degree and working towards a Master of Divinity or equivalent from an accredited Christian university or College.
  • A minimum of two years in a church setting (former youth leader, administrative assistant, and or program development, etc.).
  • Age in Christ: 6 years and up. Must give testimony of a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
  • References required: 1 Pastoral, 2 Bible College or Seminary professors, and two acquaintances (not relatives).

Purpose of This Position

To staff for the future growth by bringing on staff a person that will do the following:

  • Complement the present pastor’s leadership and vision.
  • Help the present leadership develop a long-range vision for the future of Crestview.
  • Serve on the Board of Governance and as a liaison between the Board and the Senior Pastor in helping to plan and implement the various ministries under his areas of responsibility.
  • Work closely with the leadership and help them plan, set goals, and evaluate their accomplishments as to how those goals align with the mission, vision, strategy and values of Crestview Church.
  • Segue into the Senior Pastor position upon the present pastor’s retirement in 2014 or 2015.

Ministry Expectations (First Year)

  • Develop college/young adult small group(s) with the purpose of developing friendships, discovering stories, and discerning needs so as to assimilate them into the ministry of Crestview Church.
  • Support the youth and children’s ministry leaders and programs.
  • Gain preaching experience to a post-modern mind, in a contemporary service (10:45 AM Sunday).
  • Work with ministry team on developing the contemporary service structure and format.

Youth and Music Arts: Hillsdale, Mich.

Hillsdale UB church (Hillsdale, Mich.) is looking for a Youth and Worship Arts Pastor. Hillsdale is a large outreach-focused UB church in a small college town in southern Michigan.

This person will:

  • Oversee an enthusiastic adult leadership team in making devoted disciples among the church’s 75 teens.
  • Oversee worship music teams for both our traditional and contemporary worship services.

A Bachelor’s degree in a ministry-related field is required.
