About Calvary Community Church
Calvary Community Church is a wonderful place for a youth/family ministry student to gain practical experience and to grow in his/her calling. The intern will be challenged by the diversity of students which our youth ministry attracts. Our church is located in a rural area on the east side of Saginaw –an urban culture. Some of our students come with the baggage of un-churched dysfunctional families. Add in a few church kids and you get an interesting mix.
We have a good youth ministry, but we could benefit from having a staff person to oversee this ministry especially during the summer months when students are more available. Depending on what other mix of ministry gifts the intern might possess, we could give opportunity to use those gifts and passions to enhance those ministries also. In addition to the help that an intern could provide, we could help a youth/family ministry student gain valuable ministry experience and a summer job. This would not be a long-term commitment on our part or on the part of the intern.
