19 Feb What is Your Church Doing for Young Adults?
Lori Ann Gossert, from Mt. Pleasant UB (Chambersburg, Pa.), writes:
“We’re trying to get a Young Adult ministry started at Mt. Pleasant Church and I am trying to find some information on what might already be out there–especially in other UB churches. ‘Young Adults’ is a group that tends to be excluded in the church, leaving after graduating high school and only sometimes returning after they start having kids.
“I went through all the UB websites and found only a handful of references to Young Adults, mostly Sunday school classes or small groups. I am wondering what some of our churches offer for Young Adults (generally 18-35) in their churches. ”
How about it? What is your church doing to minister to Young Adults in the 18-35 age range? Leave a comment here, or send an email to Lori.

Posted at 08:12h, 02 MarchShoreline Church in Oak Harbor, Ohio, has recognized this area as well. I have come on board as the Children’s & College Age Level Director. We have a group of about 10 college students who are regular attenders and live in the area. We try to get together once a month during the school year just to stay connected. During the summer, we get together every Friday for Bible Study, volleyball, campfires, and enjoy the process of discipleship and hanging out. During summer months, we have over 35 different people who have been plugged in to this ministry. It is my hope that over the summer months more people will get plugged into our church and when students return to college, we will build this ministry and those who live locally will be more active throughout the year. Good luck in your efforts at church to reach this important transitioning group!
God Bless,
Chris
