I came to the HUB a year later and served 20 years leading into my retirement. From the time I arrived, Wayne became my number one “cheerleader”. Over a period of 5 years, the congregation more than doubled in size and led the UB denomination in conversions. Wayne was just such an encourager to me throughout a transition that brought many changes to the church. He even complimented my wife on the way she did the weekly bulletin. Wayne was just that kind of guy! A super positive person who wanted nothing more than to see the church he formerly led flourish in adding hundreds of souls to the Kingdom of God.
