One of the reasons we started attending Anchor was because it was the first church where people talked to us when we came in the door. We are still struggling to find a church home now in Virginia. Interestingly we have visited dozens of churches in the “buckle” of the Bible Belt and only one church took an interest in us past the basic good morning handshake. There are many things about that church that we enjoy but many other larger churches do things on a much grander scale and put on a much better “show”. There is something about a church though that acts like the body of Christ and doesn’t just look like it that is appealing. I always felt that Anchor did this well. In fact we have been looking for our next “Anchor” since we moved. So far not much luck. When are we planting a UB church in Virginia???
