28 Sep Update from Jana Hoobler

Jana Hoobler, one of our missionaries in Macau, sent this update on September 27:
- “There continues to be a stable group of around eight people besides our staff who attend Living Stone Church. Some of the regular attenders are starting to offer to help with different areas of ministry. Several are wanting to be baptized this fall. Praise the Lord for His work in the church, and pray for wisdom for Carlson Becker and Michael Chan as they offer leadership to the congregation.
- “David and Melissa Kline had a healthy baby girl on September 26th. We’re excited to have Mia Jean Kline as a new addition to our team. Praise the Lord for this special blessing.
- “Minnie, Lei Ip, and Polly are three girls who have accepted Christ through our children’s ministry at Living Stone Church. They are around 9 years old. Ally is another girl this age who is attending church with her Christian mother and unsaved father. All four of these girls are attending Kids’ Klub quite regularly and are open to talking about things at a deeper level. We’ll be starting a small group for them in October, hoping to reach a deeper spiritual level with them. Pray that they will mature spiritually. The first three girls are all in homes in which neither parent is a Christian.
- “A few weeks ago, God brought me back into contact with a former ELP student named Luisa. She’s an outspoken, ‘tough’ woman, so I was shocked when she broke down in tears and told me about a cousin of hers who is dying of blood cancer. Luisa attended a new Friday night Bible study at Living Stone last Friday. Please pray that she’ll open her heart to God during this difficult time.”
